Our Objectives
GEASA is a new organization, so it has a clear set of objectives, but these are likely to be adapted as the geothermal energy industry becomes more mainstream in the SADC region.
The main objective of GEASA is to become a platform for engagement between all relevant stakeholders. These include service providers like engineers, designers and installers, as well as clients, regulators and financiers. GEASA will also become the custodian of industry standards by engaging with other professional bodies already in existence globally. This means that as geothermal energy technologies are introduced to the SADC region, consumers and investors will be protected, because service providers will be held accountable for the installations they are contracted to do.
GEASA intends to host a conference in order to launch the technology into the SADC region. This will bring together many of the key industry leaders from across the world. Associated with this will be a trade show in which service providers will be allowed to showcase their products. Negotiations are currently underway with a professional conference and trade show organizer who will put this event together. |
